7 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman is hitting .264 this season and has at least one hit in 16 of his last 18 games played. In fantasy circles, Bregman has been a slight disappointment this season despite his relatively consistent play. Of his 46 hits this season, 18 of them have gone for extra bases, and he is hitting .325 with runners in scoring position this season. His slugging percentage is still languishing at .414, but he has shown more maturity at the plate this season. He has more walks (28) than strikeouts (24) and his low BABIP of .288 portends that better luck is on the horizon.--Joey C - RotoBaller
