6 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds called up utility man Brandon Dixon on Tuesday, optioning Rosell Herrera to make room. Dixon, 26, will get his first taste of major league pitching after spending time in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati farm systems. Dixon has some power in his bat but is not a good defender, which makes him better suited as a designated hitter. That won't be an option in the National League, so it remains to be seen just how Cincinnati plans to utilize him.--Matt T - RotoBaller
