7 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger has emerged as the go-to slugger on the team with Nelson Cruz dealing with multiple nagging injuries and Robinson Cano suspended until August. Haniger had a fantastic month of April, hitting 10 home runs and driving in 27 runs. His numbers, however, have dipped recently, and he has only one home run over his last 71 at-bats. But there is plenty of reason to remain optimistic about Haniger's fantasy prospects moving forward. He still sports a slugging percentage of .571 and is slashing .333/.435/.563 when hitting with runners in scoring position. He can be a streaky hitter and health will be a huge factor moving forward, but Haniger is a player worth deploying in all fantasy formats, and he will garner All-Star consideration if he stays the course.--Joey C - RotoBaller
