Derek Dietrich Homers in Marlins Win Tuesday
7 years agoAfter not leaving the yard over his last 57 plate appearances, Miami Marlins outfielder Derek Dietrich hit a home run on Tuesday night against the Mets. The two-run shot in the eighth inning capped off a 2-for-4 performance for Dietrich, who finished with two runs and two RBI. Dietrich has been heating up over his last nine games, hitting .370 with three doubles, a home run and five RBI. Owners in 12-team or deeper leagues and NL-only leagues might want to consider adding Dietrich from the waiver wire in part due to his eligibility at multiple positions. In Yahoo leagues, Dietrich is at eight percent ownership and is eligible at first base, second base, third base and the outfield, while in ESPN leagues he is at 6.1 percent ownership and is eligible at third and outfield only.
