Jose Reyes' Struggles Aren’t Getting Better
6 years agoNew York Mets infielder Jose Reyes had a very hot second half in 2017, but an equally scorching second half in 2018 is going to be just about the only thing that saves his season. Reyes has been terrible all season long, and it does not seem as though those struggles are going to change any time soon. In a 5-1 loss to the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, Reyes did pick up a hit and a walk, finishing 1-for-2, but it was only his third hit in his last 19 at-bats. For the season, Reyes’ slash line sits at .145/.203/.200 (.403 OPS) with one home run, five runs scored and one RBI. He has two stolen bases while getting caught stealing once. The once dynamic player is a shell of his former self and is sadly nearing the end of the line. It goes without saying Reyes shouldn’t be owned in any leagues right now.
