Lance Lynn Turns In Rare Good Start For Twins
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Lance Lynn pitched well against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. Lynn shut out Detroit over 6 2/3 innings of work, striking out four and walking one. The veteran right-hander picked up the win, improving his record to 2-4 while lowering his ERA to 6.34 on the season. It has been a rough first season with the Twins for Lynn, who signed a one-year, $12 million deal during spring training. Most of his struggles have stemmed from poor control, as Lynn is walking 6.14 batters per nine innings this season. That being said, he has issued only seven walks over his past four starts, spanning 20 1/3 innings. The improved control offers a glimmer of hope for his rest-of-the-season outlook, although he needs to prove it a few more times through the rotation before he can be trusted in fantasy. He will take the mound against the Kansas City Royals on Monday in his next start.
