Brandon Nimmo Goes Yard On Wednesday
7 years agoIt feels like every day, we write something like “player X was the only source of offense for the New York Mets”. On Wednesday, that statement rang true with outfielder Brandon Nimmo being player X. In a 2-1 loss to the Miami Marlins, Nimmo was the lone bright spot for the Amazins, finishing 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk. The longball was Nimmo’s third of the season. Perhaps most impressively, though, is Nimmo’s OBP which now sits at a robust .423. Nimmo is likely always going to be one of those players who is better in real life than for fantasy purposes, but in OBP leagues his value is obviously much higher with a statistic like that.
