6 years agoThe Washington Nationals have optioned starting pitcher Erick Fedde back to Triple-A Syracuse, according to MASN's Mark Zuckerman. Fedde made his first start of 2018 on Wednesday against the Padres and looked pretty good, working 5 2/3 innings while striking out six batters and only allowing one earned run. His four-pitch mix was working well and his fastball was sitting at 94-96 mph with movement. He's posted a 3.24 FIP at Syracuse this season. Fedde should only be on the radar in very deep dynasty leagues at this point, but he's only a significant injury away from possibly getting an extended run in the Washington rotation. If that happens, he should be considered as a streamer in deeper leagues.--Phil Goyette
