Jonathan Villar To Rest On Thursday Against Mets
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers second baseman Jonathan Villar (rest) will not play on Thursday against the New York Mets. Villar is only hitting .208 against lefties this year compared to his .308 against righties so with LHP Steven Matz taking the mound for Thursday, it only makes sense to give Villar his day-off against a lefty. Tyler Saladino will take his place at second base. With Villar showing signs of his 2016 self in terms of contact and now continuing to get consistent starts at second base, he should be owned in all deep formats and should be added in shallower format players in need of a second baseman.
