6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Eric Thames (thumb) is going to go visit a doctor on Tuesday with the purpose of knowing whether he can return to hitting. While Jesus Aguilar has almost certainly claimed his first base spot for the time being, Thames looks to be on schedule with his four- to six-week prognosis when he was originally injured. Right now, he's worth a disabled list stash in deeper leagues. However, he will only hold deep league value, as the first base situation with Aguilar and Ryan Braun could lead to inconsistent playing time for all three.--Caden Inaba
