7 years agoBuffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay made an effort to change his diet this offseason in order to give himself a chance to stay on the field more. Clay has often dealt with nagging injuries and suffered a torn meniscus and sprained MCL in his left knee last November. He has been following a diet loaded with plant-based foods and absent of sugar, which include chicken and fish, but little red meat, if any. “It was something I looked into all offseason, trying to keep as much inflammation out of my body as I can and eating has a lot to do with that,” Clay said after an organized team activity (OTA) workout late last week. “I feel awesome right now.” In his seven-year career, Clay has only played in a full 16 games once, back in 2013 with Miami. While he's never been a huge receiving threat as a tight end, he can be an asset for Buffalo devoid of experienced pass catchers. If he can stay healthy, that could make Clay a sleeper as a low-end TE1/high-end TE2.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
