6 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson sat out Tuesday’s game against the Boston Red Sox with a calf injury, and he’ll be sitting out Wednesday’s affair as well. He’s dealing with tightness in his left calf, an injury Donaldson is more than familiar with due to some problems during spring training. He’s hoping to avoid the disabled list, but we can’t say for certain that he will. Toronto has Thursday off, so if Donaldson doesn’t return to the lineup on Friday, then it may be time to worry. Infielder Gio Urshela will get the start in Donaldson’s place after Russell Martin got the nod on Tuesday.--John Smith
