6 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik (thumb) could return from the disabled list Friday, according to manager Bruce Bochy. Panik has been out since April 28 with a torn ligament in his left thumb. Panik should return to everyday duties at the keystone, which is bad news for middle infielder Kelby Tomlinson. Panik was hitting .267 with just three home runs and five RBI in 90 at-bats and is merely a middle infield option in NL-only leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
