6 years agoUpdating a previous report, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell believes San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers (oblique) is slated for an early-July return. Myers was cleared for baseball activities this week and progressed to dry swings on Thursday. Since he had been completely shut down, he's likely a couple weeks away from a rehab assignment. The timeline can change depending on how his body responds to returning to baseball shape. The 27-year-old Myers has been a major fantasy disappointment this season, playing only 10 games while battling various ailments. Fantasy owners will need to wait a bit longer, but he's a worthy bench stash or buy-low target for a prospective strong second-half run.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
