6 years agoThe Detroit Lions believe that rookie running back Kerryon Johnson could someday become a three-down back. However, they don't want to demand that from him in Year 1. LeGarrette Blount will likely help shoulder some of that load, with general manager Bob Quin indicating that Johnson will be used more on the outside, at least for now. Detroit hasn't had a good running game since Barry Sanders retired, so it's not worth investing in any of Detroit's backs outside of deeper leagues.--patton
