Zack Wheeler Has Difficult Test Against Cubs
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler has essentially been alternating good outings with bad ones this season. After allowing four runs in six innings against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, Friday’s start against the Chicago Cubs should line up as a good one. Something tells us that won’t exactly end up being the case. We wouldn’t advise using Wheeler and his 5.40 ERA against the potent Cubs lineup, though if you’re really that desperate he should still be a good source of strikeouts. Wheeler has punched out a minimum of six in five of his last six starts, striking out seven or more in four of them.
