6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard was always expected to miss one or two starts due to a strained ligament in his right index finger, and it sounds like that number will be at least two. According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the Mets are “leaning toward not pitching” Syndergaard in his next turn on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles. Assuming that’s the case, Thor’s return likely shifts to next weekend against the New York Yankees. In the event this is indeed true, Syndergaard’s spot will likely be helmed once again by Seth Lugo, who threw four scoreless innings against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday.--John Smith
