7 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list. He suffered a calf injury while running the bases during Monday's contest. He was not able to make enough progress over the last few days to avoid a disabled list stint. The team is calling the injury left calf tightness, so at least it's not a strain, which would usually take longer to heal. Yangervis Solarte is expected to be the Jays main option at third base with Donaldson down. There is a chance top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gets recalled if Donaldson's injury does linger.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
