6 years agoMinnesota Twins closer Fernando Rodney pitched a perfect ninth inning on Friday to preserve a 7-4 win over the Cleveland Indians. He picked up the save, giving him 12 in 15 chances while posting a 2.84 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 19 innings. It has been a solid season for Rodney, who appeared in danger of losing his role after three blown saves back in mid-April. As long as he continues to convert most of his save opportunities, he should remain a solid, mid-tier fantasy closer this season.--Matt T - RotoBaller
