Junior Guerra Hit With Loss In Pitching Duel
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Junior Guerra pitched six innings, giving up seven hits, three runs and one walk while striking out five in the 3-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians. Guerra has been a pleasant surprise this year after a disappointing 5.12 ERA in only 70 1/3 innings pitched last year. This year, Guerra now rocks a 3-4 record, 2.83 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 60 1/3 innings pitched. Guerra also earned a quality start, which gives him five on the year, one more than he had all of last year. Guerra should be owned in all deeper formats and makes for a top streaming candidate in shallower formats due to his high-strikeout upside.
