6 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer (concussion) is getting closer to returning to the field. Mauer has been sidelined since mid-May with a concussion but has ramped up his activity on the field of late. He has been fielding grounders and taking batting practice over the past week and the Twins are considering sending Mauer on a rehab assignment so he can get his timing back. Mauer is batting .283 with one homer, 11 RBI, and 18 runs this season.--Matt T - RotoBaller
