6 years agoFormer Kansas City Royals outfielder Jon Jay has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for minor league pitchers Gabe Speier and Elvis Luciano. Jay provides the Diamondbacks with flexibility and consistency, something they haven't received from their outfielders (with the exception of A.J. Pollock) this season. Jay won't provide much power or speed, but he can bring solid on-base skills to an inconsistent lineup. It's a boost to his fantasy value, and the left-handed hitting outfielder has been extremely hot as of late. His fantasy owners will hope that the change of scenery doesn't interrupt that momentum.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
