6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff went four innings, giving up one hit, one run (zero earned), and two walks while striking out three in the 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Woodruff was called up to start after Ji-Man Choi was optioned to Triple-A and looked great, despite his smaller workload of only 67 pitches. Walks have been a large problem for Woodruff so far in the majors, however, has been able to strike batters out on a whim. On the season, he now holds a 2-0 record, 5.01 ERA, and 23 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings pitched. Despite being a top prospect in the Brewers system, he's just not quite ready yet and needs more time to solidify himself as an MLB ready pitcher. He should only be owned in dynasty formats.--Caden Inaba
