Zack Wheeler Looks To Continue Resurgence In Atlanta
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler has quietly gotten his career back on track in 2018. You wouldn’t know it by his 4.57 ERA, but trust us on this one. In recent weeks, Wheeler has seen his velocity creep back up to where it was pre-Tommy John surgery, and the results have mostly reflected that. He’s allowed two runs combined over his last two starts (13 innings pitched) and has allowed one run or fewer in three of his last six starts. We wouldn’t necessarily recommend starting him on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves, though it should serve as a nice litmus test to see where Wheeler actually is right now.
