6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jaime Garcia has an attractive matchup on paper on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays, but we would recommend steering clear nonetheless if you can avoid him. Garcia is coming off a great start against the lowly Baltimore Orioles on Thursday in which he only allowed one earned run over six innings pitched, but he has shown a complete inability to string together good outings this season. Tampa Bay’s offense isn’t anything to write home about, but at the very least, they’re significantly better than an Orioles team that ranks dead last in run production in all of baseball. Garcia and his 5.57 ERA should not be owned in just about any league.--John Smith
