Billy Hamilton Continues To Disappoint Tuesday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton had yet another disappointing game on Tuesday, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout against the Royals. Hamilton has been frigid at the plate this season, posting a .189/.282/.279 slash line through 63 games. He is walking a career-high 11.5 percent of the time but is also striking out at a ridiculous career-high 30.8 percent of the time. Most startling for fantasy owners, Hamilton has stolen just 10 bases, putting him on pace for just 26 stolen bases for the season. Hamilton's fantasy value has always been based on his ability to swipe bags, but he has failed to get on base and is batting at the bottom of the order, so his opportunities to steal have been limited. At this point in the season, Hamilton should only be owned it rotisserie/categorie leagues by owners who paid up for his steals with the hope that he can somehow turn things around.
