Scooter Gennett Scores Twice
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett went 2-for-4 with two runs in his team's 7-0 win over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. The game raises Gennett's season batting average to .341 with a .928 OPS, 12 homers, 35 runs, 47 RBI, and one steal. It has been an impressive campaign for a player who many thought would regress after a career year in 2017. Gennett should be treated as a no-brainer starting option going forward, as he could finish as a top-five fantasy second baseman.
