6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Joey Lucchesi (hip) is beginning a rehab assignment Thursday with High-A Lake Elsinore. Initially thought to be a mild hip strain, Lucchesi has been sidelined for over a month with the injury. It's likely he'll make a couple rehab starts before rejoining the Padres. Through nine starts, the rookie lefty had logged an impressive 3.23 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 9.1 K/9. With a late-June return in the cards, Lucchesi is certainly worth a look for fantasy owners needing pitching help to shore up their rotation.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
