6 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (hand) is out indefinitely after suffering a fractured fifth metacarpal bone on his left hand. It’s the same injury that sidelined teammate Madison Bumgarner earlier this year. Longoria will fly with the team to Los Angeles and meet with Dr. Stephen Shin to decide if he will get surgery or not. Pablo Sandoval and Alen Hanson figure to be in the picture to split time at third base with Longoria sidelined. Hanson is having a nice season and provides more upside.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
