Nick Gordon Has Cooled Off In Triple-A
6 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop prospect Nick Gordon has cooled off for Triple-A Rochester after a hot start since being promoted to Triple-A on May 22. Gordon is hitting .200 over his past 35 at-bats, which has lowered his average to .276 in 87 at-bats. Between Double-A and Triple-A this year, Gordon has hit a combined .313 with five home runs, 23 RBI and seven stolen bases. Gordon remains one of the top shortstop prospects and is inching closer to making his big league debut. Gordon has smooth hands at the shortstop position and hits for contact, but does not provide much power. His speed and contact skills should be ready to help fantasy owners for years to come, and he should be owned in dynasty leagues. Gordon will likely get many more at-bats in Triple-A this season, but he should be the favorite to enter 2019 as the Twins starting shortstop.
