6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Corbin Burnes struck out six batters over six innings for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday. Burnes also allowed seven hits and two runs. Burnes has had some struggles this year and now owns a 4.96 ERA. Burnes has risen through the Brewers farm system since being a fourth-round draft pick in 2014 and throws four pitches. The Brewers are competing once again and they won't be afraid to call on Burnes should a situation present itself. Burnes' ERA is largely due to pitching in the Pacific Coast League, which caters to hitters, but he hasn't been able to go deep into games this year, which has been his bigger issue. Burnes has a bright future and remains a top-60 prospect.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
