Danny Jansen Continues To Perform In Triple-A
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays catching prospect Danny Jansen continues to put together a productive season for Triple-A. Jansen is a former 16th-round draft pick out of high school and has risen through the Blue Jays system. Jansen has shown nice offensive skills with a .309 batting average and .902 OPS to go along with four home runs and 36 RBI. Jansen has drawn 24 walks compared to 27 strikeouts, which is a good sign that he will adapt well to big league pitching. The Blue Jays are likely to be sellers at the deadline and regardless of if Russell Martin is dealt or not, Jansen should get some run in the big leagues this summer. With catcher always being a tough position for fantasy owners, Jansen is worth putting on the watch list.
