Brian Dozier Rips Two-Run Homer Friday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier went 1-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in his team's 6-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Friday. Dozier's highlight of the night was a two-run homer off of two-time Cy Young winner Corey Kluber in the fourth inning. With the return of Joe Mauer, who hit leadoff, the Twins had Dozier batting fifth for the first time all season. Dozier is now batting .230 with a .714 OPS, 10 homers, 40 runs, and 29 RBI on the season. While he won't see as many at-bats hitting out of the five hole, Dozier should see more run-producing chances. The All-Star second baseman has yet to hit his stride this season, making him an excellent buy-low candidate in fantasy leagues.
