7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday. Neris gave up four runs during his most recent outing on Sunday. He's allowed nine runs, five home runs, and 15 hits over his last eight innings of work. The Phillies called up lefty Austin Davis to take over the active spot on the roster. Seranthony Dominguez would be the favorite for saves. but manager Gabe Kapler has not named a closer. Neris should be dropped in just about every format.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
