6 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Javier Baez (elbow) will not play in Game 1 of Tuesday’s day-night doubleheader. Baez left Sunday’s game early after getting hit in the elbow, but said that he feels fine. Ben Zobrist will be at second base for Game 1 and bat third. It is not known if Baez will play in Game 2 or if the Cubs will elect to give him some more time to recover. Ben Zobrist would start for Baez if he misses anymore time.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
