6 years agoLos Angeles Angels prospect Griffin Canning has been promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake. Canning, the Angels No. 7-ranked prospect, allowed just 10 earned runs in 10 starts with the Double-A Mobile Bay Bears this season. Canning was drafted in the first round of the 2016 draft and is already knocking at the door of the major leagues. Injuries have decimated the Angels rotation so far this season, but unless more get injured, it'd be surprising to see Canning in the big leagues this year. He's a great dynasty stash, however, and could be up as soon as 2019.--patton
