6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jaime Garcia has been downright awful in 2018, and that’s being generous. As a result, he could be demoted to the bullpen, according to Blue Jays manager John Gibbons. The move makes too much sense, especially with starting pitcher Marcus Stroman finally returning to the rotation this weekend. It sounds as though if Toronto makes this move, the short-term play would be to call up pitcher Sam Gaviglio to start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels. Either way, you shouldn't own Garcia and his 6.16 ERA. If you do, you have bigger problems.--John Smith
