6 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Luke Farrell will make a spot start on Saturday versus the Reds. Farrell has a 3.63 ERA in 12 outings with the Cubs this season, all of which were relief appearances. It will be Farrell’s second career start, but he has made five starts for Triple-A Iowa and owns a 4.94 ERA. Farrell is unlikely to go six innings, which limits his chance at a quality start. The Reds also have been hitting the ball well of late and could be a tough matchup for Farrell Saturday.
