6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German fell apart on Sunday giving up six runs on nine hits through three innings against the Rays raising his season ERA to 5.40. It was a very disappointing start for German who had been killing it recently with back to back quality starts and 19 strikeouts in his last 13 innings. He was only able to muster two strikeouts in this outing and had the worst start of his career thus far against a pretty bad Tampa Bay lineup. German has gone through stretches of being elite and being unstartable this season and is set to take on the Red Sox next Sunday night. German has a lot of upside, but it might not be the best move to start him against one of the hottest offenses in baseball.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
