Luis Castillo Lackluster Again In Start Wednesday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo turned in another disappointing start on Wednesday against the Braves. Castillo allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in four innings. The 25-year-old has now gone six straight starts without recording a quality start. Castillo has let fantasy owners down this season after a stellar rookie season and now owns a 5.85 ERA with 85 strikeouts, 33 walks, and 18 home runs in 87 2/3 innings. His upside is too high to drop him in dynasty leagues or even 12-team leagues or deeper, but those who own him in 10-team leagues can probably find better options on the waiver wire. Hopefully, he can turn in a solid start Monday in a favorable matchup against the White Sox.
