6 years agoJason Heyward had a big game on Saturday against the Minnesota Twins. The Chicago Cubs outfielder had four hits that resulted in two RBI and two runs. Heyward has a hit in 10 of his last 12 games. His offense was lacking at the beginning of the year, but he's batting .306 in June. In that time he has 17 runs and 14 RBI. His 30 hits in June account for just under half of his hits for the season where he has 64. Heyward is beginning to pick up fantasy value quickly. His outstanding defense often keeps him in the lineup even when he isn't hitting well, so given recent success, it might be hard for manager Joe Maddon to take him off the lineup card. Look for his value to rise as he stays hot.--Blake Sullivan
