6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija (shoulder) is scheduled to return Saturday versus the Cardinals. Samardzija returned to form in his fourth rehab start after a poor performance the start before. Samardzija has had bad command all season and isn’t a recommended start on Saturday. With a 6.56 ERA and 1.68 WHIP, it is best to wait for Samardzija to put together a couple quality starts before placing him back in the lineup. Chris Stratton is a likely candidate to lose his spot in the rotation when Samardzija returns.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
