BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 27% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson has maintained his status as an elite power streamer, hitting two more home runs this week. Pederson is now up to 12 home runs since the beginning of June, posting a .272 batting average in 90 plate appearances. Even more impressive is that Pederson has also walked in 8.9% of appearances, bringing his OBP to .344 in the time span.
The one caveat to Pederson's power surge since the beginning of last month is that he only has 16 RBI and 17 runs in June, somewhat shocking considering that he has double-digit home runs. Pederson has primarily hit either directly at the top or the bottom of the Los Angeles lineup, obviously stunting his opportunity for run creation. He has a hard hit ball rate of 52.9% since the beginning of June and his 58.8% fly ball rate has led to his power surge as well.
If the fly ball happy Pederson can continue to produce a solid hard hit ball rate, there is an opportunity for Pederson to be an impact power hitter going forward. He only has a 10.3% soft hit ball rate since the beginning of June, making him a great addition in all formats.
