BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 22% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Reds outfielder Scott Schebler has hits in three of the last five games and, while he only has one multi-hit game in his last 10 games, he has a .315 batting average since June 1. Schebler has a .380 OBP in the same time period, reaching base in every game he has started in the same time span.
Schebler has 15 extra-base hits since the beginning of June (five home runs and 10 doubles), posting a .546 slugging percentage. A .377 BABIP since June 1 gives some people pause, but Schebler has a 46.3% hard hit ball rate and 30.5% line drive rate, showing that he is just really hitting the ball well. His line drive rate also makes his GB/FB (1.19) acceptable and has led to a jump in extra base hits.
Coming off of a 30 home run 2017 season, Schebler is showing that his performance last season was not a fluke. While we suggest adding him in 12+ team leagues, there is a case to be made that Schebler should be owned in all formats considering his recent play.
