BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 42% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Dodgers utility player Enrique “Kike” Hernandez has nearly become indispensable for fantasy owners. Not only is he crushing the ball, .557 slugging percentage since the beginning of June, but he can play all over the field. He is only hitting .250 in 100 at-bats since the beginning of June, but there is a strong case to be made that Hernandez should be on all fantasy rosters.
Mainly playing shortstop and center field, Hernandez has a home run in each of his last two starts and has eight bombs since the beginning of June. He has also hit three doubles, stolen a base, driven in 15 runs, and scored 18 runs in the same time span. All of this production has occurred without Hernandez having a solid position to play or a distinct spot in the lineup (hitting anywhere from 1st to 9th in the order).
While Hernandez has been a very solid player this season, he has been as violent in his splits this season; he has a career .264 batting average against lefties and .210 against righties, but that split is a more reasonable .243/.222 this season. Either way, Hernandez has 15 home runs, can play all over the diamond, and is a vital asset in all leagues.
