BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 32% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Dodgers utility player Enrique “Kike” Hernandez has nearly become indispensable for fantasy owners. Not only is he crushing the ball, .500 slugging percentage since the beginning of June, but he can play all over the field. He is only hitting .236 in 122 plate appearances since the beginning of June, but there is a strong case to be made that Hernandez should be on all fantasy rosters.
Mainly playing shortstop and center field, Hernandez has a .264 isolated power since the beginning of June. He has also hit four doubles, stolen a base, driven in 15 runs, and scored 20 runs in the same time span. All of this production has occurred without Hernandez having a solid position to play or a distinct spot in the lineup (hitting anywhere from 1st to 9th in the order).
While Hernandez has had his issues this week, does not have a multi-hit game his month even, he has dealt with some bad luck. His BABIP since the beginning of June is .218, which does not really go with his 31.4% ground ball rate and 33.3% hard hit ball rate. As long as Hernandez keeps the ball off of the ground and hits the ball soundly, look for him to maintain his value in all formats.
