6 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez will start at catcher for the American League team in the 2018 All-Star Game. With Wilson Ramos going down with an injury, Perez will take his spot and make his fifth straight All-Star Game start. Perez is hitting just .217 on the year, but he has 12 home runs, 39 RBI and is arguably the best defensive catcher in the MLB. Perez is coming off of three straight 20 home run seasons and is an excellent catcher in all fantasy leagues.--Dan Fappiano
