6 years agoHouston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. will begin his second half Sunday against the Angels in Anaheim. McCullers Jr. ended his first half on a down note, hitting two batters, walking five and allowing six runs in only four innings against the A's. Otherwise, it had been a strong seven-start stretch prior to that start and is 10-4 heading into the second half with a 3.77 ERA. McCullers Jr. struggled with execution in the beginning of the season but eventually curtailed his wildness to post a 2.81 ERA in 32 innings during the month of June. The Astros, once again, are a top team in the American League and McCullers Jr. will have plenty of opportunities to pick up some more wins the rest of the season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
