6 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitchers Keone Kela and Jake Diekman have been receiving trade interest heading into the deadline. Despite the team wanting to trade players such as Cole Hamels and Arian Beltre, Kela and Diekman have reportedly been the two most interesting assets to clubs. Kela has functioned as the team's closer this season, pitching to a 3.27 ERA and a 40/11 K/BB ratio with 23 saves. Diekman has been just as impressive, holding a 3.21 ERA and a 41/19 K/BB ratio. With the Rangers likely to be sellers, both Kela and Diekman seem likely to be moved prior to the trade deadline. If Kela is traded to a team with an already established closer he will lose his fantasy value, while Diekman holds little value as a middle reliever.--Dan Fappiano
