7 years agoThe Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin thinks the Tampa Bay Rays should trade starting pitcher Chris Archer and his team-friendly contract right now. He's owed just $27.5 million over the next three seasons. Archer wants to win right now, but he's also been injured this year and will need to pitch better before the trade deadline in order to attractive interested teams. He's gone 3-4 with a 4.29 ERA this year and missed around a month with an abdominal strain. The Rays also won't get as much for Archer now as they could have several years ago. It remains to be seen if Tampa will put Archer on the block. One thing is certain: He'd be a lot more attractive for fantasy owners on a better team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
